Brazil - Native Corn Starch
Dedert provides P-Ring dryers when recirculation of semi-dried product back to the hot zone for additional drying and dispersion is undesirable. This is particularly the case for heavily modified starches where the use of a simple Flash Dryer is inefficient and the recirculation of semi-dried product back to the hot zone would damage the product.
The P-Ring dryer has a classifier (simplified manifold) located in the top of the drying column where 80% of the drying has already taken place and the drying temperature has dropped significantly. By re-circulating the product in this air stream, it is gently dried to the required moisture content at lower exhaust temperatures without fear of scorching, burning or discoloring.
Dedert P-Ring Dryers can be supplied to over 120,000ACFM and can achieve 12 tons evaporation in a single unit.
