Sugar Beet / Sugar Cane

Currently 97% of biofuel produced in the USA is derived from corn. Brazil typically uses sugar cane for the conversion of the sugar to biofuel. Sugar beets are gaining favor in many other parts of the world such as England, France and South Africa.

Converting sugar crops into biofuel using a yeast fermentation process is simpler than converting corn starch into biofuel where the application of enzymes is required.

Dedert has experience with both types of feed stocks and has successfully commissioned equipment for both worldwide.

Raffinate, sucrose and betane are also a few of the other products Dedert has experience with in the sugar beet industry.
